.IT Domain Name Registrations

Established in 1987, Italy’s .IT country-specific domain extension is very popular both within the country and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for constructing creative and attractive domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to create an easy-to-remember domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to come back to your website or to give it with associates and acquaintances. The extension can also be used for a website, which is linked to the technology sector having in mind that IT is an abbreviation, which is in use around the world.

Since .IT domains are not offered directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that manages this domain name extension, such a domain can be registered through a 3rd-party service provider, such as ours. We will manage the registration process for you and take care of submitting your application to the Registry organization. You can get a .IT domain for no more than one year at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to our firm and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. The only limitation is that the person reserving such a domain must be located in a country from the EU.

Since there are existing 2nd-level Domains that include names of various regions and localities in Italy reserved for local third-level registrations, new names that consist of geographical areas of any kind are not allowed on any level to avoid any future confusion. We do not support such 3rd-level domains, though, considering the fact that they can be registered only by locals.
