.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME TLD is the single TLD planned for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. At first, just 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to book john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought 3rd-level domain names remained running.

Through our company, you can order your .NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to switch the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer code from the present registration provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finished. There are no specific regulations on who can obtain a .NAME domain name, but in order to keep the goal behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.

The dot NAME generic top-level domain extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the precise spelling in your local language.
